Harbor Table opened in the spring of 2019 with a straightforward idea: Portsmouth deserved a neighborhood restaurant that took its food seriously without taking itself too seriously.
We're a small team. Our chef grew up on the Seacoast and spent years cooking in Boston before deciding she'd rather be here, sourcing from farms she could drive to and fishing boats she could shake hands with. Our front of house crew has been with us almost since day one, and they know the regulars by name.
The menu changes when the season does. We think that's the right way to cook. In the spring you'll find ramps and fiddleheads. In the fall, squash and root vegetables. In winter, braises and stocks that have been going since dawn. We work with a handful of New England farms and fishermen whose standards match ours.
We're not trying to be anything other than a great neighborhood restaurant. Come in, sit down, and let us take care of you.
